

124th Founders of Norwich Meeting & Revolutionary War Film
The Founders of Norwich/Leffingwell in partnership with Otis Library is delighted to present a pre-screening of the Mohegan Revolutionary War film ‘Up and Down the River’ at the 124th Annual Meeting of the Founders of Norwich CT/Leffingwell House Museum on Wed., June 4 at 5:30pm at Otis Library, 261 Main St. in downtown Norwich.
Welcome and review of the 2024-25 year by President Dave Phillips will be followed by the Mohegan Revolutionary Film “Up and Down the River,” produced for America at 250. The film highlights the challenges of their Mohegan ancestors in the Revolutionary Era, as well as honoring Samuel Ashbow Jr., who was the first Native American soldier to die at the Battle of Bunker Hill, fighting for America. Leffingwell had the honor of being part of the filming of some of the scenes in this film.
This meeting and presentation are open to the public and FREE!
